What is Visualization?
When we consciously and intentionally use the mind to picture images of what we want, we call it visualization. Visualization is the process and powerful practice of creating pictures in your mind of something you desire in order to manifest that desire into your life.
Alongside affirmations, visualization is a powerful creative tool that helps fulfil the second step of the Manifestation Process: the Believe step of Ask Believe Receive, as disclosed in Rhonda Byrne’s international bestseller, The Secret.
The reason that visualization is so powerful is that when you focus your thoughts and picture your desire in your mind, you are also generating powerful feelings of having your desire now. Together, those thoughts and feelings emit a powerful frequency out into the Universe, and the Law of Attraction then takes hold of that signal and returns your visualization back to you as your brand new reality.
How do I Visualize what I want?
The key to visualizing anything you want is to place yourself in the picture alongside your desire. Don’t just imagine what you want; see yourself already having and enjoying your desire, in this present moment now. For example, if it’s a new car that you want, don’t just picture that sporty little two-seater. Instead, imagine yourself getting in the car, wrapping your hands around the wheel, starting up the engine, cruising the streets where you live, and even pulling into your driveway. As you see yourself in the picture, you are bringing yourself to a place of believing you really have it now.
You are also implementing trust and faith in the Universe to deliver your desire because you are focusing on the end result without giving any attention whatsoever to “how” it will come about. The picture in your mind is seeing it as done; your feelings are seeing it as done; your mind and your entire state of being are seeing it as already manifested. That is the art of visualization!
Another key to visualization is to keep the pictures moving in your mind. If you keep the pictures moving like a movie, you can master visualization really quickly. If the picture is static, it is a lot harder to hold the picture in your mind. So keep your visualization busy with lots of movement and lots of activity. Your mind will become so captivated by the moving pictures, it will not be able to think of anything else.
Use ALL of Your Senses
One final tip to help you manifest your desire with visualization involves using all of your senses to imagine what it is that you want. So, for example, if you have been dreaming of a tropical getaway, don’t just picture the postcard images. Imagine the feeling of the cool salt water lapping at your feet. Hear the waves crashing over rocks further along the beach. Take in the aroma of tropical wildflowers blooming on the foreshore. Taste the sweet, refreshing, fruity cocktail served to you as you recline in your poolside cabana. By combining your senses of sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell, you bring your visualization to life and turbocharge your manifestation until it becomes your reality.
Coming Attractions – The Movie of Your Life
Using visualization to manifest your dream life is very much like making a movie of your life. In fact, you are making the movie of your life right now. Whether you’re dreaming of a rags-to-riches success story, a whirlwind romance with a happy-ever-after, a miraculous recovery from an illness, or anything in between, visualization is your tool to manifest your very own amazing movie. And it’s important to remember that you’re manifesting it right now whether you realize it or not. So how is the movie of your life going? Do you want to make any script changes, or is there any editing that you need to do? Today is the day to use your imagination to make any changes that you want to your movie because today’s visualized changes will be screening as your life tomorrow.
