USASomeone new to The Secret who has found inspiration and faith through gratitude.
Thank you to God, the Universe, Rhonda Byrne, and The Secret team for your life-transforming messages and inspiration. I am grateful for the teachings of the law of attraction, which have helped me to consciously manifest my desires and stay positive.
Since learning The Secret practices, I’ve made it a point to play “games” with the Universe several times a week. These games involve asking for either a small manifestation or a visual sign to stay inspired and on a positive frequency. I find these games very uplifting, and they help me maintain my faith in the power of the Universe.
I have twice been able to manifest money and many times been able to manifest specific visual signs. This week, I decided to ask for a Star fruit, which is very unusual where I live. I hardly ever see one in magazine pictures, on TV, or on the internet.
A few days passed, and I did not see one, neither a real one nor a picture of one, which was a bit discouraging. Usually, most of my requests for visual signs manifest within a day or two, sometimes even hours and minutes after asking for them. I had not been feeling very positive that week, and I knew that was probably what was blocking me.
I decided to forget about it and to try to get myself back into a happy frequency, so I went on a walk with my dog. During my walk, I found a penny. I have always loved the idea of “Pennies from Heaven”- the belief that a found penny is a message of love and guidance from loved ones in heaven. Whenever I find a penny on the ground, I pick it up and regard it as an omen of faith and luck, as I did with this one.
A few hundred yards down the road, I spotted another penny. About a mile or so later, I found yet another one. By then, I was grinning from ear to ear. I was on a very rural, out of the way road and so finding three pennies in these intervals was a bit unusual.
I knew suddenly that I had been trying too hard to see the “sign” of the Star fruit that I had asked for. The pennies were telling me to be patient, have faith, and not to try so hard or feel discouraged because that was actually indicating a lack of faith, a feeling of lack. I pocketed the pennies, laughed a little, and felt great for the rest of my walk.
Later on that night, when I was home and randomly browsing through Pinterest in the “general” home board, I saw an inspirational quote about stars. A few pictures down, I spotted a pin from one of my friends about crochet patterns, in the shape of stars, and further down, a picture of star-shaped string lights. I knew then that even though it wasn’t the fruit I had asked for, the Universe was responding to my focus on the star. It felt like another humorous message to “Be patient, and pay attention to the signs that are given to you even if they are not what you expect.”
I went to bed that night feeling good and told myself that the pennies and stars were a sign that something good was going to happen the next day. The day went by pretty easily. When I was done with work, I came home to find a gift on my doorstep. It was from a raffle drawing that I had entered a few days previously for some fun bath and spa products. And I’m one of those people who rarely, if ever, wins things in drawings. I know it’s a small thing, but it re-ignited my faith and gratitude at a moment when I was just struggling to maintain a positive outlook.
Thank you for listening.
