Sandton, South AfricaI am grateful to God and the Universe for teaching me that everything is possible.
A heartfelt thank you to those who write their stories here. Every morning, I read a new story that gives me hope that my turn will soon come. Rhonda, you have given us the greatest gift in life, and from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you so very much!
I was unhappy with my job and my boss, and I felt miserable every day. I applied for jobs every day and went for many interviews, but no one got back to me.
One day I just gave up, and said to myself that it will come to me. Right after that, I received a call for an interview in May. I never thought much of it, except that if it is meant for me, it will come to me. When I went for the interview, which was quite far from my home, I was told that the company was moving its offices closer to my home. It was probably about 4 km away from my home. My interview was truly amazing. I was not nervous as I spoke to the HR managers, and I felt as though I was talking to my friends. I felt so calm and relaxed. There was this sudden boost in my confidence and the way I handled the questions. It seemed like I said exactly what the managers wanted to hear. I walked out of that interview excited and knew this job was mine.
Two weeks after my interview, I had not heard anything from the company. I opened up the email they sent me a month ago to confirm my interview date. The lady who sent me the confirmation was also the HR manager who interviewed me. Her surname was Bierman. I opened up the confirmation email and began to type her an email asking for feedback on the the interview. Then I thought to myself, “What if I come across as being too pushy?” So, I chose not to send the email. I asked God and the Universe for a sign as to what I should do.
That same day, as I drove home from work, I heard on the radio that Bierman Avenue was gridlocked with traffic and that motorists should stay away from Bierman Avenue or use an alternate route. I was relieved. There was my sign. They were busy, and that is why they had not contacted me yet.
A month later, I received a call for a second interview with the Regional HR manager. Again, I felt so confident and spoke to this manager as if she were a campus friend. I can’t explain what came over me, as I am always nervous, and it was usually difficult to keep myself calm in interviews. Everything I said seemed to match what this company was looking for. She was very impressed.
Today, I got my Offer Letter from the HR manager. It was just as I had imagined it to be. I imagined receiving a call from the HR lady saying they would like to offer me the job. I even drew up an offer letter and signed it as the HR manager and emailed it to myself. I even got the company logo and placed it on my offer letter. Today, I got a call from the lady I imagined, and she said she is sending my offer letter for me to sign and accept. It felt so perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I opened my gratitude journal and found that one of the things I had written down that I was grateful for was “my reduced travel costs.” And now my wish has been granted! I will be traveling 4 km to work every day. I am truly grateful for everything in my life. I feel so blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you so very much for The Magic.
