Hello everyone.

I started reading The Secret success stories recently, and they have been such an inspiration to me. They keep me going and always put a smile on my face. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for sharing them!

This is a long story, and it started a while ago, just after I finished high school. I met a nice guy through a friend while I was studying, and we were together for eight and a half years. We lived together through Uni, and I always thought that he was the perfect man for me. I really thought that he loved and appreciated me until he told me that he was cheating on me.

After his confession, my world collapsed, and I was so sad and devastated. He promised me that he would change, told me that he really loved me, and begged me for a second chance. Long story short, I gave him a second chance, but he did not change, so I left him. After eight and a half years, I was on my own, and that was when I realized so much about my relationship with him. I realized how controlling he was, not allowing me to go out on my own and always making me cry with his empty promises. So, I made a promise to myself. I told myself that I deserved so much more. I deserved someone to adore me and appreciate me. I decided that I would rather stay on my own than have someone like him in my life again.

That was about the time I started applying The Secret teachings to my life. And honestly, I felt so sure I was going to get the right man that I could feel it with every fiber of my being. I then had an amazing year of going out with my friends, partying, traveling, and generally being so happy and feeling so free. I never thought about where, when, or how I was going to meet him or what he would look like. I just knew he would be perfect for me! I knew what qualities I wanted him to have, and I knew that he would be just what I wanted.

Then, one day, a nice guy talked to me at the gym. Moving forward to eleven years later, we are happily married with two amazing children and living a beautiful life. I can’t give enough thanks to the Universe and Rhonda Byrne for giving The Secret to the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So, to finish off my story, never lose your hope in love. I was so afraid to be on my own that I stayed in a toxic relationship for over eight years. Just be happy on your own, enjoy your life, enjoy your freedom, and the perfect someone will come at just the right time!
