This is a crazy and quick story of how The Secret works. To give a short background, the last two years have been crazy and stressful as I was facing many changes in my life. That led me to take ‘manifestation’ seriously. I had subscribed to so many ‘manifestation gurus’ online that from morning to night my social media story was full of how to manifest things better. However, it was so confusing, as everyone was saying different things about it.

All of that had caused me to completely forget about what I learned from Rhonda Byrne and her book, The Secret, years ago. To put it in perspective, I was having a lot of anxiety about how to manifest what I wanted correctly and fear was my constant companion. I kept asking myself why was everyone else manifesting so much and why am I not doing the same? Why have my big desires not manifested yet? In the past, it was so easy for me to just let it go and to have a deeper faith in the Universe. Trying to manifest what I wanted felt forceful to me. I could not even think about what I wanted, as I was crippled in fear about what would happen if I did not get what I had asked for. And lo and behold, that was what was happening.

Then I decided to have a laid-back approach and most of the time things were still happening for my good in small amounts. Like my family surroundings had changed to a much more happy and peaceful place. I graduated, and I managed to get a job as well. I kept thanking the Universe for these small changes, but my nervous system felt so broken. I felt restless and it seemed like I forgot to be naturally joyful. Anyway, I kept on continuing with my gratitude journal and tried to be just laid back, waiting to restore my nervous system back to good health.

Then 3 days ago, when I defended my thesis online successfully, something happened to me inside. I felt joyful without having to force it. And at that moment, I decided to relax from the inside for whatever was coming. I decided to stop looking at social media posts about manifestation techniques. I decided to go back to ‘good old’ Rhonda Byrne’s teachings of The Secret. I felt good thinking about how easy it was. Just be happy with the present and the rest will follow. Ask for things and expect good things.

I felt more connected and stable with my inner self and I told the Universe that I believe in you, and tomorrow I am gonna get good news. I did not specify what good news it would be. During my daily yoga mediation practice, I set my intention for the day as a “winner”. And can you believe it? Out of nowhere, I got an email by the afternoon from a former interviewer. Not in my dreams would I ever think I would get an email from this person, as I did not get the job when he interviewed me and the job interview happened earlier this year. He was asking me if he could forward my name to his friend who was looking for someone with my expertise. I was awestruck! How well the Universe works for me! I am yet to give an interview for this position, but I am so happy that I have a new connection and I have a potential position that came to me absolutely out of nowhere. Whatever the end result may be, this has completely restored my faith in miracles and magic, in the Universe, and the ‘good old’ Secret.

The Secret teachings are really simple, and I am only following it and its methods. I have already stopped looking at thousands of accounts that provide manifestation techniques. I feel more grounded than ever. The Secret is the best. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
