From as young as I can remember I had suffered from mental health issues. Unstable emotions, impulsive behaviors, suicide attempts, and self-harm. It was torture. I remember going to the doctor at 16 asking for help and I got told I was too young. From there on I was always searching for help from other people including professionals, family, or partners. I just wanted anyone to listen and help me. In the end, I was nearly diagnosed with a Personality disorder. I had some therapy sessions but they did not work. I tried different types of medication which I hated and they always made me feel worse. This was all over ten years. I would hide my illness from a lot of people in my life.

I was in and out of hospitals and in and out of bad relationships. I had one really bad relationship that made me very ill. When that ended I met Lauren, my current partner now. Lauren has been in my life for years now and I have known her since I was 15. Our first year together was not the best though because of my stupidity and the choices I made.

I was working at my job and someone had been talking about the law of attraction. They were explaining what it was but I could not get my head around it so I just forgot about it. Then I completely made the worst choice of my life and knew I needed to change but I didn’t know how. Years ago a friend of mine gave me a book, the original copy of The Secret. This friend of mine sadly took her own life. I shoved the book in a draw for many years and then at this certain time, I found it and got it out and started to read. It was about the law of attraction. I also found The Secret movie on Netflix and began to watch it. And then it started to make more sense.

For years I had been searching for help from other people when all along the help was within me. I stopped taking the medication that never worked. I stopped self-harming. I stopped a lot of things when I discovered how to change my mindset. I was always negative about everything. I flipped my mind and started to be grateful for what I already had. And then things started to change.

My first reason for believing in The Secret was letters. I hated receiving mail. Then one day I got a letter that contained a tax rebate of £700! I was jobless at the time so I really needed this. Next, I got the job that I am still working at now. And then everything else started to fall into place!

So we have been using The Secret for about 3 years now as a couple, me and Lauren do it together. And our lives have completely changed. We have built the most beautiful home together. We are no longer negative at all, we thrive off positivity. We have had so many signs from the Universe and so many good things happen for us it has been truly amazing. I get very emotional when I think about how much it has been my lifesaver! I manifest all the time and we ask the Universe for things together. We believe anything is possible.

Our latest story is our IVF success. We are expecting our first baby together. I spoke to the Universe throughout the treatment and everything has worked out as we visualized it. I predicted the pregnancy test outcome before it was even testing day! I wrote it down and then when we took the test, it was positive just as we had visualized. We were very lucky! We had collected 13 eggs, 7 were mature, 3 fertilized and we got 1 good embryo on the day of transfer. It was a miracle because it worked! The day after we got a phone call saying the other two eggs weren’t suitable for freezing. It was crazy! But we believed it would work and it did! We have never been so happy and to this day we are so grateful for The Secret and discovering the law of attraction.

All you have to do is believe. I wish everyone could discover this and use it because it really was our lifesaver. To think how far we have come and the life we have created for ourselves is truly amazing. We are now wedding planning! I could have never imagined having thousands of pounds for IVF treatment but we did it! Honestly, you are capable of anything. I could never imagine myself being mentally unwell again. Three years on and I am the best version of myself I have ever been.
