Here is the story of my experiment. It first began in my head sometime last year when I first read “Your Best Life Now” by Joel Olsteen and even more so when I heard about and read “The Secret”… it is something that my church had been talking about. I bought the cds and a friend of mind bought the dvd so I had seen and heard them both. As with “Your Best Life Now”, the Secret has do to with the law of attraction, getting what you think, the power of positive thinking, faith, abundant living, etc…. lots of names for it. Well part of it is attracting to your life the good things your heart’s desires by focusing on those things and the good rather than any negativity that could negate what you want. It is something that I have practiced all along the best that I could but never put a name to it, especially when it came to adopting my son and us finding one another. For the particular experiment in The Secret of seeing if the law of attraction would work, you are told to start small and visualize something to come to your life, like a unique feather of certain colors, someone giving you a cup of coffee… just something small that you would know when it came across your path that it would be this “thing” when you saw it.

Of course my thing more than anything was for the perfect partner to come into my life… no surprise there but as directed, I thought of something small. I decide on a Dr. Pepper coming into my life and kept picture someone giving me one. I normally don’t buy or drink Dr. Pepper and thought it would be unique enough of object. Dr. Pepper also reminded me of someone that meant a great deal to me. I wrote down “I want a Dr. Pepper” on a piece of paper and had it posted near my computer at work… really really visualizing this Dr. Pepper coming into being in my life everyday for about a week.

So about a week later, I met this exceptional guy who we hit it off immediately and have an instant bond and “get one another”. We exchange information and the next day we start emailing back and forth and then I get this email and picture of himself that he made as a joke during his last vacation in Cozomel. He is drinking a Dr. Pepper with the text on it that says “Finding the only Dr. Pepper on the island… PRICLESS”

I really didn’t think anything about it, then I see a second picture. It is of his office wall wih Dr. Pepper memorabilia all over it and with the text “I collect Dr. Pepper stuff. Through the years, friends, family, coworkers have given me all kinds of Dr. Pepper memorabilia. Now part of my office looks like a miniature Dr. Pepper museum.”

I looked down at my “I want a Dr. Pepper” note on my computer and it started to come together in my mind. I’m REALLY thinking that not only did this Dr. Pepper come into my life but possibly the person I have been praying for as well… a double whammy??? Keep in mind that I didn’t say anything to him about my Dr. Pepper experiment.

So the following day of the Dr. Pepper message and of first meeting, we spent a day together. First thing, he gives me a glass-bottled Dr. Pepper that is made with the ORIGINAL Dr. Pepper formula with Imperial Sugar that is bottled in Texas. I knew without a doubt that this was totally a God-thing and what I had visualized. It was the most unique Dr. Pepper that I could have recieved and couldn’t get any more specific with a Dr. Pepper than this. It gave me chills and I knew to the core that this was my Dr. Pepper that I have manifested into my life. The universe works in mysterious ways. There is more to this story yet to be writen but we have met the most perfect match for one another and I got my Dr. Pepper in the process.
