For the last couple of weeks, I have been getting back into the groove of gratitude in my life and gratitude for myself.
But also for the last couple of weeks, I have been struggling to get a job. I filled out over 30 applications and very rarely did I get a response back. I had to ask my parents to help me pay for a lot of things. I felt more ungrateful, bitter, and angry. It seemed as if the more the days went by, the less I felt in control of my life.

One or two jobs did reach out to me but something just felt off about each offer. My mum would tell me beggars can’t be choosers and I felt sort of guilty telling my family why I was being picky over the few jobs I was even being offered. My mum even asked her friend to get me a spot at her workplace but the process was so lengthy and stress inducing that I just felt like I wasn’t meant to work there. My mum tried hard to convince me to not be picky and just take the job. Something in me so deep told me I just couldn’t work there.

I decided to start increasing my daily gratitude around this time and affirming I already had a great job. I spoke like I had a perfect job and did not engage in any conversations about negativity.

Then a few days later I was in a college lecture and my phone rang from an unknown number. So I excused myself and left the room. I answered the phone and it was a representative from an agency who works at my literal dream job. I completely forgot I applied for it and I definitely did not even expect them to call me.

She asked if I’d complete a training process that I would have to pay for. And usually, whenever I am asked to spend money I feel kinda stingy but with my new mindset, I reminded myself that I am wealthy and wealthy people can spend money.

I completed the training and sent them my certificates and then I was offered the job! I honestly could not believe the whole thing happened and that it happened so fast! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now I know there was a reason the Universe pushed me to wait. The best part is they are offering me much more than the other few places that didn’t happen for me.
