Feel Alive.

Malaysia17 year old teen. Full time study, part time work, and I am a female.
During my teenage years, I used to love laughing and smiling, but I realized that I would feel very tired after laughing excessively. I slowly discovered that my laughter was not actually genuine happiness, but rather a way to avoid being disliked or harmed. This realization made me feel terrible, and I felt like I had lost my true self. I became upset, tired, and sometimes even angry and disappointed.
At the age of 13, I was given a chance to read The Secret, a book about the law of attraction. However, even after being given several chances, I did not apply the teachings. Eventually, I lost trust in the concept and moved on with my life.
Later, I watched The Secret movie and subscribed to The Secret website. After reading one of the emails, I realized the importance of gratitude. From that day on, I started appreciating things and saying to myself, “I am very happy and grateful that I have a lovely job that is challenging and exciting. I appreciate it very much. Thank you! Thank you and thank you.”
Initially, I did not feel any different, but I kept reminding myself to be grateful. Gradually, I started feeling appreciation, gratitude, and love deep in my heart. I regained my true self, and I started feeling joy, happiness, love, and warmth. I was so happy that I continued to be grateful for everything and for every moment. No matter what, I would not forget to say thank you, even before going to sleep or waking up in the morning.
On the third day of being grateful, my restaurant manager asked me to help with a grand event at a place that was further away than usual, and I accepted. That day was amazing, and I felt like a superstar. The place was vibrant, and I could not help but feel happy. Even to this day, I am still so thankful for that night. I felt lucky to have had the opportunity to serve at that event, and I learned and gained a lot more experience.
As time went on, I realized that my family is incredible. I love my sisters, father, and brother very much. Likewise, I have a lot of love for my sister-in-law and nephews, who have done so much for me and sacrificed so much. I’m grateful that they brought me to where I am today.
I believe that I’m a very lucky person. I’m healthy and complete, and it’s all because of the love I feel in my heart. When I read stories of others, I realized that they learned to ask, believe, receive, and be grateful. I began to do the same, and I felt that things started happening around me, making me even more joyful and happy. Most importantly, I began to receive what I wanted, my dreams and the future that I had wished for so long. Everything in my life began to change, and I felt very hopeful. I laughed and smiled freely from my heart, deeply inside, and I never felt tired of laughing and smiling. I felt happy inside my heart, and the joy and bliss were endless.
Now, I believe that everything is possible and that anything can be achieved. Thank you for reading my story. Anyone can do it.
