Living My Light.

IndiaI am a graphic designer and a digital marketer who is currently applying for higher studies abroad. This story is about one of the events that happened when I was going to check my documents at the passport office in regard to my application.
I went to the regional passport office today in Ghaziabad, India. At the metro station, my phone was not able to make an internet connection and I had no cash to pay for the token. I could not access any of my digital money.
Just then a girl paid for my ticket with her debit card. She knew that I could not pay her at the moment and although the amount was only ₹40 which was too small a sum for her to lend me without an expectation that I would return it, she helped me anyway. I took her digits and transferred the amount two hours later. On my way, a man helped me to get to my destination too. He guided me with the route and information.
On my way back, I was walking towards the metro station when a poor woman with her baby girl asked me for money. Since I oppose the idea of money grants, I told her that I would like to offer her lunch instead. She agreed and I realized that she was indeed starving and needed money only to satisfy the hunger of her child. I walked to the nearest stall and purchased a plate that consisted of dal, vegetables, rice, and roti and offered it to them.
To my surprise, the vendor charged me ₹40! When I handed the plate over to the woman, I realized that I had just paid the same amount in gratitude to the Universe by offering help just as the Universe had delivered its blessings to me earlier this morning.
On my way back home, I also helped another woman with her route, just as the man had helped me earlier.
All of this was unintentional. But as I reflect upon it now, I realize that even the things that we do subconsciously during the day, come back to us, if not immediately, then sooner or later.
In my journal last night, I had written my goals and things to do list for today. I was partly afraid that I might not follow it, given that I can end up procrastinating at times. I am thankful to the Universe for sending help to me today and making my “to-dos” so smooth. I am also thankful that the Universe gave me an opportunity to express my gratitude by helping another human in need. Oddly, I also saw the number 11:11 as I got down to the railway station and captured the image in my mind to remind me that I am divinely blessed and guided.
