I was 3/4 of the way through the book and had been trying very hard to be positive and be grateful for everything in my life. I had lost focus of what I had due to some financial struggles… And gone to a sad place in my life due to the loss of my father who I was very close to and miss very much. I started giving thanks for my husband, my children, my other family, my job, my home and my health, and even the things I don’t have yet… and I started to feel very happy. I found myself smiling again…

I got off work late on Saturday and my husband took me to the casino to listen to a band… I had seen a slot machine there a couple of weeks earlier that got my attention from afar but I didn’t play it. I don’t gamble very often. Well on Saturday night as soon as he asked me if I wanted to listen to a band, that machine popped into my head. I knew we would find a park right away and we did – it was right next to the elavators. While we were waiting in line to hear the band I asked him if I could play that machine… he said yes, go ahead. I played $48 dollars into it and hit the jackpot for $5,000!! I didn’t know I hit the jackpot because I don’t play very often and the machine didn’t alarm or anything… the nice lady next to me stopped my hand from spinning again and said no, no, you just hit the jackpot. I stood in amazement, and still found it hard to believe until several people with suits on came toward me smiling and telling me congratulations. I had written my Secret check and had it cashed within 2 weeks from starting the book and making changes in myself.

I feel like I had lost sight of who I really was… a person full of love and life… but now thanks to being inspired I found myself again…
