Sometimes you think it couldn’t possibly be that easy, and there is no way it will work that way. That’s how I felt, but I did it anyway. I printed off several of The Secret checks. The first one that I dated I dated for January 18th, a week and a half away from when I wrote it. I honestly didn’t expect it to work. But between sales I had with Mary Kay business (which is not my main job) and a credit card account being reopened (which had been closed for two years) I reached that $1,000 by the 18th. The crazy thing is that on the 19th I received a letter in the mail telling me I could apply for a $1,000 loan with no hassles. Right now, I couldn’t get approved for a loan to buy a candy bar. The letter stated that I couldn’t be delinquent on any loans that I had with them. I knew I wasn’t current, but would be by the 25th (today) so I hung onto the letter. In the meantime I put another check on my vision board dated for the 31st.

Today I went to my bank and got the loan for $1,000. I’m still somewhat shocked. But since this worked I decided that I needed to reward myself, and bought the cell phone that I had put on my vision board.

Oh yeah, and I had a wii on my vision board at work. Two days later my husband called me and said, “You’ll never guess what Justin let me borrow.” Of course my response was, “A wii!” That was two weeks ago, and we still have it (yes it is still on loan but it was on my vision board and we had one in our house two days later). So I am just waiting for the next item to come into my life.

I still wonder if it will really work, but it doesn’t matter because I will DO IT ANYWAY, and focus on it.
