Almost 2 years ago, I was studying under Jeffrey Mims, a great classical master painter in North Carolina. Finally! The dream of a lifetime was coming true. Then an old debt I owed to the IRS came to haunt me, so I moved back to Southern California, where I am from, to go back to my old business of selling rugs. My intention was to make some quick money, as I was good at it, so I could pay back the IRS and get back to North Carolina.

Somehow, within 2 weeks of my arrival, I broke my pelvis in a cycling accident. As my business required my lifting 2000 lbs. of rugs, and as it took me nearly 2 months to heal, I was put out of business. My hopes of getting back to NC were dashed.

I struggled and struggled trying to find work in which I could make the kind of money I needed to put my debt behind me. It seemed like everything I tried involved some sort of criminal activity or was some sort of scam. I tried to sell mortgages to people, but even a potential $20,000 paycheck did not tempt me to sell mortgages to people whom I knew would be made homeless by the deal. I just couldn’t bring myself to do that, so I made no money there for 5 months.

I found other jobs, but I only made enough to get by. The idea of finding my way back seemed impossible, so I started falling deeper into depression and hopelessness that I would never get back to NC.

So I made a vision board like the one in The Secret. I put it beside my bed and every night I would visualize myself getting back to NC, although I didn’t know how. One night, in desperation, feeling that all was hopeless, with the all too familiar depression and suicidal thoughts creeping in that have plagued me for most of my life, I sent out a communication to my Mom and best friend for help, asking for money to get back.

My Mom, who has no real money of her own, answered my prayer and is paying for me to get back to NC! I swear this is like a miracle to me!!

Now I am moving back in two weeks to pursue my lifelong dream and complete what I started!

My best friend Dan turned me onto the Secret, and it is saving my life!
