I Healed Pain Through Affirmations.
Submitted by: Prue C
New ZealandI am a believer in our own power to manifest the life we want in this world. I only had to look back on my own life examples of both negative and positive outcomes to realize it was my own beliefs that brought about the results. So I decided to use this power in healing my body and this is where my story begins.
One day while sitting up in bed watching Youtube on my laptop, I felt some sharp pains in my lower back on one side in the region of one of my kidneys. I tried not to think too much of it, however, the pain persisted evening after evening. Because I was aware that my inner thoughts and beliefs created my outcomes, I decided to take charge of the pain and dull it down in my head by affirming to myself that it was simply “muscle pain”. I knew that I could have easily let fear take over my thoughts to the point that I could have chosen to believe I was developing some sort of serious kidney issue. So I deliberately told myself it was “just muscle pain and that it would go away”. I held onto the belief that the body heals itself and insisted each time I felt the pain that it was just muscle pain. I did this each night when I felt the pain on that particular side of my body.
After a few weeks the pain completely went away. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I repeated the exact process for a sharp pain I had that ran down my upper arm. I simply affirmed in my head “It is just muscle pain”. I remember telling a few people about my arm pain and one lady in particular who was a nurse told me that that type of sharp pain can persist for months. I dismissed that in my head and said to myself that may be the case for some people but it is not my story and continued to affirm that “It is just muscle pain, it will go away.”
Sure enough, after about 6 weeks or so the pain completely vanished. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I find this “dulling down of the pain” method very effective. I hope my story helps those who also experience some sort of pain in their body. It really is a simple process and works really well. Far better than affirming to yourself worse case scenarios.
