I have been working since I was 15 years old. I never went to college, and I gained experience and growth through my work and I have been very successful.

My husband and I were living in a small apartment after we were married and we always told ourselves that this will be temporary. I know I needed to make more money, as the salary I was making was just getting us by. I started to write down the amount I needed to make every night to be stable and happy financially. I wrote it down in my notebook that I kept near my nightstand, I visualized it, wrote it down, and circled it. I did this for almost a year.

Then one day my boss asked me if I would be interested in a different position. Now, this came out of the blue and I never thought that I would have been considered for this role because I was quiet and kept to myself. This role was a high profile role. I knew this role would put me out there so, to speak. I interviewed for it but I still was not sure if this was what I wanted. I was called in again for another interview and I was told that the salary would be x amount. Well, that amount was exactly what I had been asking for and writing about! I was nervous and anxious about this position but I knew this was what I was asking for so I decided to take the position.

That position led me to higher roles which then led me to make even more money and we were able to save for a house, we just purchased! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
