Hello everyone!

I wanted to share what happened a week ago. I had been cleaning the house in advance of company coming for dinner. This meant I was especially thorough and was polishing, dusting, and cleaning everywhere.

All of a sudden I realized the small pearl was missing from my ring! This was a big deal as the ring belonged to my dear mother-in-law who had passed away in 2020. Her daughter gave it to me because I had gained weight and my wedding ring didn’t fit me anymore. I felt self-conscious going to the funeral without a ring and my sister-in-law gratuitously gave it to me and said Mom would have wanted me to have it. I was so touched and have worn it ever since.

Now I was frantically searching every room, floor, and surface, but it seemed hopeless! I felt completely panicked! I stopped and said out loud, “Universe, help me find my ring!” I thought for a second, walked over to the kitchen sink, and saw a tiny white ball sitting in the stainless steel basin! I had pulled the plug to drain the dirty water and had walked away to do something else. Luckily I hadn’t rinsed the basin or the pearl would have been washed away. Instead, it sat, unnoticed, in the residue left by the dirty water. I am not sure if it came off while I was washing dishes or as I bustled around the sink cleaning. Thank goodness I hadn’t rinsed the sink!

I don’t know why I thought to go look in the sink, it honestly hadn’t occurred to me at the time. It seemed very strange that I asked the Universe and then walked right over to the sink and saw the little thing!!!
