The Missing Painting.

Many, many thanks to Rhonda Byrne for all of The Secret books movies, and apps that help all of us understand and practice the law of attraction. I look forward to reading everyone’s stories I see here by using The Secret Super App every day.
My story is this: I had admired a painter based in Mexico for years, but I never felt that I could afford his paintings. Whenever I saw pictures of his work, the bright colors and peaceful scenes always made me feel happy.
He passed away recently, so in October, when one of his paintings hit me just right, I decided it was time to buy one from his studio. I planned to work a few extra weekends to pay for it, so I decided to go ahead and finally buy the painting!
Two weeks went by after I had made my purchase. I checked the tracking link but it said only that the painting was “on its way.” Another week went by so I emailed the studio. They did not respond, which was not actually surprising, considering it was now the holiday season.
In the fourth week, the tracking link said the painting was in a post office in Atlanta, Georgia, where it remained for the next 5 weeks. It was also now beyond the time I could refute the charges on my credit card. I had paid a lot of money and was working extra hours to pay for a painting I still did not have. I called the studio by phone and finally made it through, but was told they could not do anything about it being stuck in a post office in the U.S.
I knew worrying about it would not do any good. I stopped checking the tracking link. I assumed either the painting would show up in its own time, or I would lose the money and learn a hard lesson. So I “let it go” and went about my business.
Four days before Christmas, the painting arrived out of blue and in perfect condition! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am so grateful to have it! It hangs on the wall in my living room and it brightens the entire room. I smile whenever I walk by it and I am so happy I spent the money.
Learning to let it go has been one of the most valuable lessons for me. While I still continue to struggle with it, practice makes perfect, right?
I remind myself not to worry about the future, because that future may or may not arrive in the way I expect. I try to live presently, because it reduces my stress levels, slows down time, and makes every moment in my life more enjoyable. I encourage you to do the same. It can be difficult at first, because your mind will wander to all the things you “should” be doing, and many of us are big worriers. But as you get better at it, you and your life will change dramatically for the better. It is worth the effort!
