My story starts a year before viewing The Secret. I learned of the art of Manifesting from another author, whose inspirational book helped me to see that I had the power to create a whole new life for myself… because I deserved it. I deserved to be loved, I deserved to have a great life with anything I desired. I started by realizing that every man in my life up til that point had been a perfect example of what I DIDN’T want and what I needed to do was figure out what I DID want …and then focus on that. Within a short time I met, dated and married the man of my dreams, the man of my “list” who is everything on my list and so much more. I was just amazing how we met and got together, so unusual from my normal routine. I have now been happily married to him for a year now. I shake my head daily at my fortune.

However, it was after viewing The Secret that my manifesting became more apparent. I had 2 minivans completely break down on me within a year and was in dire need of a van to haul my kids from here to there. I was vehicle-less for over 6 months with no prospects in sight. I came across a brochure for an up and coming new 2007 Hyundai van and took it home. In browsing I, of course, dreamt what it would feel like to have a NEW van. So, I took one of the pages out and put it up on my wall in my closet. Within a week of placing that picture on my wall I drove that van off of the showroom floor… me, who in my mind had bad or no credit, and no money, …but the ways practically fell into my lap, it was not only incredible but baffling.

Upon seeing how easy it was to manifest by pictures, I started dreaming of what else I wanted. I found pictures on the internet, printed them up and placed them on my bathroom wall. You see, I have a small, separate room with a door where my toilet is, and figured… what better place and time than to put “wasted” time to good use, concentrating on what I wanted in life (Madonna claims that is where she receives her best inspiration!). I called it my “dream wall”. and also placed affirmation words like ‘Love’ ‘Peace’ ‘Happiness’ ‘Harmony’, etc as well as pictures of my family and husband with the caption “happy family” and “happy marriage” on the wall …in front of my toilet. My husband teasingly printed up and placed on the outside of the door a paper with the words “The Dream Room” on it. But, he is not teasing now. You see, he has now seen many of my “pictures” come true, from brand new elegant desk sets given to us for free, to new front loading washer/dryer sets from strangers who were getting ready to take them to the landfill because they didn’t want to hassle with finding a home for it. Brand NEW!! It’s the Universe placing you at the right place at the right time. It is amazing.

I finally got my husband to sit down and watch The Secret with me just the other day. He started out by playing on his laptop and watching with an ear to the tv. But, it wasn’t long before he shut down his computer and was listening and watching intently. Now, I am just excited to see what the two of us TOGETHER can achieve.
We all have the power to acheive our wildest dreams. …and we deserve them too.
