I started learning about The Secret about 12 or 15 years ago when my mother’s cousin suggested that I read the book when I went to him asking for financial assistance. I was so angry at the time but it was the best advice I was ever given and I am grateful to him every day. I have spent the last 12 to 15 years creating magic boards, reading all of Rhonda Byrne’s books, praying to God, and implementing the practices into my life.

For most of my life, I struggled financially. I’ve hit some pretty rough patches due to financial mistakes, loss of employment, and even medical reasons. But for the last few years, I’ve set myself on this path to become debt free. To pay off all the debt I owed to family, friends, and financial institutions, I meditate on it. I cast my care to God about it. And I firmly believe every day that financial blessings are coming.

I have a passion for helping homeless people. So even when I am low on funds, if I see a person in need, I help them. I donate household items to them. I work diligently and daily with housing programs in our city to help those in the most vulnerable areas. I expect nothing in return. I just love the joy it brings them which in turn brings me joy.

Recently, I myself was struggling a lot. I was worried about how I was going to pay to get the car fixed that my daughter was supposed to start driving when she turned 16. My truck needs extensive repairs. I worried that I had no money for the kids’ college or trade school they will want to attend in a few years. My finances were in the hole. I had negative bank accounts, bills past due, bill collectors calling, and no food in the house. I cried and cried but then I reminded myself the more negative I feel, the more lack it will bring me.

I started searching The Magic book for practices on money. I did them faithfully every day. I prayed every day. I wrote about positive things and things that I was grateful for in my journal and was grateful for those closest to me.

A month later I logged into my bank account and there was a $4,450 unexpectedly deposited into my account. I was so confused. I immediately called the bank. It was legally my money. I called my mom and asked her to check the account that we both add money to for my two children. My husband passed 10 years ago and since that day this account was only used for his survivor benefits that they were entitled to. Sure enough, there were 2, $23,000 deposits made on their behalf. We immediately called to be sure it was real. We were assured it was and that we would receive a letter. Lo and behold the children and I received survivor benefits that were back dated to 2015 due to an error in their system. They credited us every penny we were entitled to. My amount was the same but they deducted what was necessary based on how much I made each year. The $4,450 was exactly the amount I needed to pay all my bills, pay off a credit card, and put food on the table. Also enough so that my daughter’s car is getting fixed and my truck is getting fixed. With all the rest they have a real college and trade school fund now too! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am. I must have said thank you over a million times at this point. God is great. His will has been done. The law of attraction works! I pray every day that God and the Universe hear everyone’s prayers and blesses everyone with great health, an abundance of wealth, more happiness than the heart can hold, soul touching love, and protection from life’s trials and tribulations.
