I read The Secret many years ago and I always believed in myself. I always felt blessed and grateful for life. The first time I read The Secret it was amazing and just added to my beliefs and I felt I had a friend with me, Rhonda.

After having my dream fulfilled again by completing my master’s in psychology in England, I went to France. There I met my son’s father and we decided to be together. In the beginning, my dream came true again because I wanted so badly to be a mother. The problem was that this person was a liar and hurt me in so many ways. He gave me the dream of having a son, but he lied in so many other ways, such as wanting to have more kids. Then later on he said he did not want anymore. He started to drink more and more and became really nasty. Month after month I started to see myself changing from this wonderful woman, happy, and full of life to someone that I was hiding from. I was so ashamed, ashamed of everything. Him, myself, my life, everything. We were together for 11 years and almost every day he made me feel horrible.

We were living in Polynesia and one day he looked at our 8 years old son and me and shouted saying that he wanted us to leave. I decided we had to leave. We left and I came to Brazil where I also have a family. Lots of people from my family turned their backs on me because my brother told so many lies about me because he was really attached to my ex-husband. I had to start all over with my son, a kid who deserved only to be happy. I left everything behind, all our belongings, which one day I hope to have back.

At the moment, I am just happy to start my new life again. My son is happy and I healed myself. I have a wonderful job. I see my clients as a coach, and therapist and I teach at a wonderful international school. My dream is to start to increase my income. To have a better life, a life I used to have before my ex made me believe I was not worthy. I want to take my son on a trip, and give him a better home and quality life.

The first miracle started when I decided to read The Secret again after many years.

My son asked me for a Lou Lou Spitz dog. They are very expensive and I never thought I was going to be able to give him one at this moment in our life. I went to see some of my family and friends for Christmas and my friend said she knew where I could find the dog for half the price. I did not think twice, I went to get the dog. My son was so happy I could not believe it.

The funny part is when my son gave the dog its name. He does not speak very much English, only French, and Portuguese. I found the name very strange because we live in Brazil. I tried to convince him to give the dog a different name but he was convinced about the name. After Christmas, I came back home and started to watch Rhonda’s videos. I saw one in particular in which she had a dog. I thought it was very strange that she had a dog while she was talking.

When I saw the name of the dog I could not believe it and I started to cry. Her dog was named Sundae! The same name my son gave to his dog.
