I’ve just finished reading the book The Secret and I realized that the things that I believed in and accomplished in the past were the principles used in the book. I also just recently read the whole Bible and Believe in The Word of God as well as Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Anyway, while reading The Secret I kept recalling how me and my former band won a global battle of the bands competition, after I declared victory before we even filled out the application. But the circumstances that took place before the battle was one of the most amazing miracles I have ever experienced.

After being accepted in the competition, we had to qualify to move on past the regionals to the semi finals which were held in Hollywood. Unfortunately we applied too late to qualify in our local Philadelphia battle, so we had to agree to go to New York which was the closet to us. But the night before the Philadelphia battle, which was a week before our scheduled New York battle, I got an Email telling me that we were scheduled to perform in Philly. I immediately called the director of the competition to inform him of the mix up and he told us to just battle in Philly to avoid any confusion. Plus he said if we happened to lose in Philly we were still eligible to Battle in New York as planned, but I told him then that we weren’t going to lose.

Anyway to make a long story short, my band played that day and won the regional battle hands down and Qualified to go to Hollywood to compete in the semi finals. What I remember most about that day is everything went right, they even paid me to host the show since their hired host didn’t show up. And after I met the director I kept telling him we were gonna win and we won. We went to Hollywood and didn’t win there but we made some great connections and put on a super show that had everyone talking.

That story just amazed me after reading The Secret because it made me realize that I used The Secret and didn’t know it. So now that I know, I’m using the same lessons taught in the book as well as the Bible, to ask, believe and receive for everything that I want. So now I declare that my new band, Da Rezarekt, will win the whole competition for Fox’s new reality talent show, America’s Next Top Band. I fully believe and expect to win as well as be successful in the music business for as long as we play music.

The Secret brought to light what I was already doing, which was having unwaivering faith. But I didn’t use it all the time for all things.
Although I pray about everything, I felt that if it was God’s will for me to have certain things then I would have them. But now after reading the book, I feel that anything I desire and apply The Secret principles to, I can have. I know now that if I truly want something and believe I have it before I get it, then God is gonna make a way because I Willed it and He wants me to have it. He set up the Universe to make it happen for me because I conceived it and believed it.
