This story has nothing to do with anything but it is a heartwarming story that affirmed to me the power of praying.

It all started when I was in 5th grade and I had no clue about the law of attraction. I was hanging out with my best friend on a hot fall afternoon playing box ball outside of our cafeteria. My friends and I would gather there after lunch everyday to play box ball but more importantly, to socialize. My best friend, Gabe, would always be by my side cracking jokes and making sure we always were the dominant ones on box ball. Since we were in 5th grade, naturally we only would hangout with boys because I still believed that girls had the cooties. As I was waiting in line to play the next game of box ball, that was when my eyes suddenly noticed the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I leaned over to Gabe and ask who she was and he told me, “That is Michelle M., the hottest girl in the school.” I could not believe how in shock I was. I had never felt those kind of butterflies in my stomach for a girl before. My heart was pounding and I immediately caught myself acting a little weird about it.

Later that day, I could not stop thinking about Michelle, but I knew for a fact that finding her to even say hi to her was not an option. I just would crumble. Going home that day, all I remember was thinking of a way that I could have the courage to approach Michelle to at least befriend her. But my 5th grade mind just was not ready for that type of challenge yet.

After pondering all afternoon, the only solution that I had was to pray at night and then maybe God could be the one to provide the strength within me to face my biggest fear at the time, which was to just to say hi to her. Without any other alternatives, I started praying at night about Michelle. Weeks went by and I kept praying every day until a miracle happened.

After lunch, 4 months later, I was playing box ball with Gabe and some others when a girl that was not Michelle came over to where all the guys were. She approached me and told me a phrase that made me almost pass out, “Michelle wants you to say hi to her.” I legitimately almost died of a panic attack. Keeping it smooth as possible on the outside, I followed her to the front of the cafeteria were Michelle was waiting for me. Playing that same exact scene in my head over a million times in the past 4 months somehow made me feel at ease in the moment and all I could say was, “Hi! My name is Edgar, it is nice to meet you.” Smiling she said, “Hi Edgar, it is nice to meet you too. This past week I noticed you and wanted to introduce myself.”

We hit it off and had a very organic conversation, my brain was in autopilot and I could not stop thinking about how crazy this whole situation was. I was in shock about the coincidence of the person I had been praying about for the last 4 months had requested to speak to me without even knowing me or even having crossed paths. At that point in time, I felt like the king of the world and I could not wait to get back home to pray for some more stuff.

Two weeks later after hanging out after our cafeteria time and having a great time, I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes.

Anything is possible if you connect yourself to the same frequency as the thing, or in my case, person you are trying to attract.
