My dream nest
Submitted by: Lilian Mboyi
Cape Town, South AfricaI am a forty year mother of two boys aged 19 and 12 and I love them dearly. I love telling stories and expressing myself in writing and I believe that one day I will be a successful and popular writer. In the meantime while I work on manifesting my writing sanctuary in the South of France and a life filled with abundance, I spend my week days working as a Communications Consultant for a large financial organisation here in South Africa. I have a few friends who complement my personality and I value and treasure them because we have shared in the lows and highs of our lives. I have five siblings who are dear to me and whose children I love a lot. I dream of a life oneday when I can materially express my love to them.
Watching “The Secret” last week took me to a time when I used the tools. I am so excited realising what I can achieve if I consciously use these tools.
It was at the end of 2001 after I had spent 20 months unemployed and had been living in a tiny bachelor flat which I shared with my two boys. In the time of being jobless I read every positive book I could lay my hands on. I even put together a dream chart which I still have to date.
At the end of the 6 months after i started working again in December 2001, I started writing down the requirements for my next home. I stipulated that it should be in the upmarket suburb where my work place was. I listed 6 things for the house, a big garden, a water feature for birds to drink from, wooden sash windows, a veranda for sundowners, a shower and a sunroom. At the end of January 2002 I went to view a house in the suburb I had stipulated and it had 5 of the things that I had listed. It was missing a sunroom. I signed the lease non the less and was happy with the house with its big garden and not one but two bird baths in the garden. The verandah had a glass to shield the wind and had a lovely view of the garden. It had a shower and the windows were wooden sash and beautiful. On the 1st of March I was handed the keys to the house. It was a hot day and I opened all the doors leading from the lounge and lo and behold there stood the sunroom!
Watching “The Secret” has excited me so much and I have taken my dream chart out again so it can take its rightful place on my wall. I know with a certainty that in the near future I will be sending you stories from the South of France :-).
