Never Ever Say Never Again!

Atlanta, GAI am a single 32 year old New York native, an avid reader, and a firm believer in the power of the Secret.
I started working in the hotel industry when I was in my 2’s, which was about 10 years ago. I started ‘at the bottom’ so to speak. My job was entry-level housekeeping. Within two months I was promoted to front desk agent. After working with the company for a year I became over confident. I stopped appreciating the wonderful position I held and the great people and atmosphere I was blessed to work in and around every day. Soon I was coming in late and making mistakes. Eventually I was fired.
I moved on to different hotels and made the same poor choices. I always thought I could simply get back into the company by applying with another branch. I never realized that one or two major corporations own all of the smaller branches under different brand names. Whenever I applied my name would pop up as a former employee with a do-not-rehire stamp all over it.
I struggled to find different jobs ,and when I’d get one it didn’t last long and made me miss the hotel industry more and more.
I read The Secret and committed to it, figuring I had lost so much already I had nothing else to lose. I kept my thoughts positive and repeated the mantra: “My ideal job/position is on its way, it will arrive on time and be better than I ever imagined”.
Within weeks I got an interview with a small hotel paying very little money. I was offered a position and was told that within three months the hotel would be taken over by a larger brand. Guess which one?! Yes! The very first one I ever worked with, and one of the largest in the industry. All things are really possible. Never give up, never give in. Never say never again.
