One of life’s lessons

Independence,IaI am a wife and mother. I have been a 911 dispatcher for the last 20 years. I am loving being in the school called earth.
As I was growing up I always had a dog. My husband never had any pets while growing up. My husband has a friend who also has always had a dog, actually he always has at least two dogs. When his friends dogs died, my husband couldn’t understand why his friend was so upset and heart broken. He couldn’t understand why to his friend, losing his dogs was the same as losing a very close family member.
We were married 10 years before he finally consented to letting me have a dog. He did however have some stipulations. The dog could not be a barker, had to be small, and could not shed.
I found a dog at an animal shelter. He was just a little ball of black fur in the bottom of a cage. The woman there said this dog was already spoken for, but if the people didn’t come get him by the next day I could have him. She called a couple days later and said the other people never showed up so the dog was mine.
We named him Jordan. Jordan was very small, and didn’t shed. After he lived with us for about a week, my husband was sure Jordan didn’t know how to bark at all. I told him that Jordan does bark when he is not around. I finally had to record Jordan on the camcorder to prove to my husband that he did know how to bark.
We only had Jordan for 8 months, but during that time my husband became very close to Jordan. I took Jordan with me in the car one night to run an errand, and when we got back I opened the door, he jumped out and ran across the street after some animal (something he had never done before), and got hit by a car.
My husband was heart broken. I’ve never seen him cry like he did when we buried Jordan.
All of this occurred years before I became aware of the Secret, but is painfully obvious proof to me that the universe/God is listening. Jordan was sent to us in exactly the form that my husband requested, and all to teach him a very important lesson in the love of an animal.
