Expanding on itself

Mexico CityI am self-employed, and have been for ten years.
This is a story on how faith in the perfect order of things comes into creation.
About ten years ago, I decided to go into business for myself, as a consultant. Throughout this time, I have grown from working on my bed in a laptop computer to renting an office with two employees. Incidentally, I rented this office without laying eyes on it. Yet I would like to start my story on the employees part…
Finding someone to work with that will be able, willing, capable, and mostly, easy to work with, can be a testing task. So when I first needed an assistant three years ago, I was terrified. So I decided to believe the right person would come along by sending the correct message: that I believed there was someone out there with the right character to do this. And then I started to ask around. After about three weeks a friend said to me: I’ll send my niece, she’s willing to learn and work. Short story: She’s been here for the three years and is great. There was no other interview for the job.
Then, a year ago, a friend’s sister was out of work. She is a graphic designer, and my consulting was doing nothing related to this (or so I thought), but finally I did offer her a part time job helping out both my assistant and myself. Originally this was a temporary agreement until she could again start doing what she loves to do, create artistic images. And I was going through a financial bottleneck. Surprisingly, a week later, the same friend who sent my assistant asked if we could do a little designing for some labels of her products! Naturally, we agreed.
Now my consulting is a “we have” business, and we have a full time graphic design. And of course a better income, better equipment, and better salaries.
Apparently all of this came out of nowhere, and has been part of a positive yet unexpected change and moving forward in all our lives. Including my god-sent friends.
