I have often read about tithing in The Secret Scroll. Here, I would like to mention that in my religion, Swaminarayan, Lord Swaminarayan has also recommended tithing in the book Shikshapatri, paragraph number 147 of 212, which was written by Lord Swaminarayan. He suggests giving 20% of the total income of those people from rich families and 10% to of those people from poor families. I have been following this practice and have found it to be beneficial. I support your idea of tithing.
