Before I even heard of The Secret in 2012, I was unemployed and living with my grandparents. My life was not easy then, I had quit my job because I wanted to go to university and was unable to due to lack of funds. One day I sat listening to the radio on my phone and this man was talking about writing down exactly what you desired and then acting as if you had it. That really blew my mind!

The very next day I changed my entire routine. Instead of waking up at 9 am I woke up at 6 am. I did my chores, bathed and dressed up, and then sat up on my bed as if I was in an office. I spoke to imaginary colleagues and performed imaginary tasks.

This went on for a few weeks until one day I was called to start employment in another city. I never applied, asked, or told anyone about any of this. My auntie then told me she knew someone who wanted a person with my skills and she had mentioned me to them. After the interviews, I was given the job and my life has never been the same.
